Kryptønite
Kryptønite or Vid Žvan is a DJ, VJ and event organizer from Maribor, Slovenia. Kryptønite has been into heavy drum lines since his early years. He discovered the world of dubstep when he was 12 years old. The next genre that caught his eye, was drum and bass. Drum and bass was his obsession ever since. He started DJ-ing in 2012, doing local gigs with Spencah. In 2014 he joined Bass Fighters. Ever since, his selection was getting harder and deeper. Kryptønite’s selection today focuses mostly on the Jump Up subgenre, including other subgenres, such as neurofunk and deep drum and bass, to add some extra flavour to the mix. He is known for his agressive 4 deck sets, filled with some of the smoothest double and tripple drops arround. His selection is going to make any drum and bass fan bounce each and every time.

TIMELINE:
2014 – Kryptønite joins the Bass Fighters crew.
2015 – Bass Fighters switch their residency to Dvorana Gustaf, Pekarna. They begin to get recognized more, and start appearing in almost all regular Slovenian Drum & Bass events. They present themselves for the first time at the Slovenian DNBKonference, an annual meeting of all the Slovenian drum and bass crews, which took place at Metelkova, Ljubljana.
2016 – Bass Fighters crew hosts some label nights, from the likes of Modular Carnage (DE), Dubstomp 2 Bass (UK), Hyperion Audio (UK). They begin to invite more international guests and get some international recognition. They begin to get international DJ bookings. On 11/11/2016, they make their first bigger international booking and invite KHRONOS (NL) [Blackout, NFG].
2017 – They start the year by hosting DISPHONIA [Eatbrain – GR].
Bass Fighters collaborate with three stronger frontiers of local drum & bass promotion – Illegal, Intensity and Vibe Department, on two floors (Gala Hala and CH0) at Metelkova, Ljubljana, where they invite representatives of the most active labels of the genre – Shogun, Eatbrain and Viper Recordings – FOURWARD (AT), TELEKINESIS (SI) and CYANTIFIC (UK). Bass Fighers host QO [Eatbrain – CZ], organize a Let It Roll Preparty with A-CRAY [Eatbrain – CZ], and celebrate their third anniversary by an event with AKOV [Eatbrain – UK]. They also host INWARD HANZO & RANDIE [Blackout, C4C – IT] and KUTLO [Renegade Hardware – SK]. With the start of the 2017 club season, Spencah starts working on K4DNB event series in Ljubljana, where Bass Fighters host STATE OF MIND [Blackout – NZ].
2018 – Bass Fighters start the year by hosting MEAN TEETH [Bad Taste – EST]. K4DNB bring INSIDEINFO [Viper – UK]. Big things incoming for this young crew!
